Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter has been released and Cortez started a project to run all the levels (And I also did 1 level myself), and thus a new section was born here on the site.

I've added a new section to the site called "Extra Section" where you can watch demos and/or videos of some funny/unusual things or different kind of runs. I didn't really have much to put there yet, so feel free to capture some stuff and then contact me by email :)
Big update. First of all, I needed to get a new provider because the previous one shut down its service. So I hope this one will be just as good, if not better. At least this provider grants me more space, so expect some videos of the runs in the future.
Secondly, 9 new demos :) Oh and I also renamed all SS2 filenames again because the previous ExMx format was a bit confusing... So now all demos from all Serious Sam games have the same format.

It's been some time since the last update and because of that I thought it would be time for a rather big update now :) I've been quite busy with Serious Sam lately and created 12(!) new demos. ShadowWraith has also made 2 demos.
Also, recently Out of Bounds has been allowed on Speed Demos Archive and since we here at SSDQ follow the rules of SDA, we too allow OoB now. And because of that I've improved both Luxor Tourist and Serious quite a lot (Especially Serious), though I must say that the level has become rather dull now ;)
And also, the first 2 demos have arrived for SE Tourist (They can more or less be considered tablefillers though). It's about time I'd say!

AjAX has started some serious Serious Sam single segment speedrunning, but he also made couple IL runs. First, a first Sand Canyon run copying stx-Vile's route, but eleven seconds faster ticking at 1:34. Next one is Metropolis ending in 8:25, Alley of the Sphinxes in 5:01 improving 24 seconds over the sarou's record and the last, the biggest and the longest The Great Pyramid in 10:49.
I have managed to improve Sewers to 1:23, just a second faster than TheVoid, who did another improvement of ZumZum level, this time clocking at 0:36.
2 improved demos. I've improved Sewers for FE Tourist with 1 second to a 1:24 and Ewil improved M'Keke Village for SS2 Tourist with 4 seconds to a 2:55.

Hm, everybody seems to be inactive with all the SSDQ stuff. Probably because it's May, month of love :P Still, we've got a 3 new demos. Boneyard has been put to the test and improved by 45 seconds to 5:38, Coast 2 Cost to 5:24 with 29 seconds, and finally TheVoid's Welcome to the Jungle in 2:15, 6 seconds better.
I've improved Hatshepsut on Serious with another second to a 0:33. And I've also ran Hatshepsut on Tourist with a time of 0:35.
Cortez made a nice Welcome to the Jungle Serious in 2:32. It's WIP since it can definitely improved. Me was working a lot on improving old sucky Castle of Rock Tourist record, achieving great 4:43 and beating myself by 1 minute and 7 seconds !. And the last one comes from TheVoid with another FE run. This time it's Moon Mountains Tourist in 1:35.
TheVoid improved his own time for Tomb of Ramses on Tourist again with 2 seconds to a 1:36, although I must say I'm not too proud of this demo yet... It has some awkward moments ;) TheVoid has also improved stx-Vile's time of Suburbs on Serious with 47 seconds due to a new shortcut, bringing the time down to 1:06.
3 demos again, 2 improvements and 1 new one. TheVoid has shaved off a second of Tomb of Ramses on Tourist to a 1:38. Sarou shove off 2 seconds of Tomb of Ramses on Serious to a 1:43. And the new demo comes from Cortez with a time of 1:16 for Deadwood on Serious. Again I've changed all the filenames (Hehe) and also added a new row to the tables which includes the date the demos were made :)
Kibumbi has improved Riverdance on Serious with 1 second to a 1:23. That was the good news... The bad news is that Kibumbi also found out that there's something wrong with Serious Sam 2. It has something to do with different resolutions, maybe even quality settings\hardware, which makes the game behave "differently" on each system\user config. We're not sure yet if maybe everyone can use the same config so it's fair for everyone when speedrunning SS2, or else it's not good... :( Let's hope this can get solved somehow in someway.
3 new demos today. Sarou has improved stx-Vile's Tomb of Ramses Serious time with 1 second to a 1:45. TheVoid has improved his own demo of Riverdance on Tourist also with 1 second to a 1:18. And last but absolutely not least, Kibumbi has nailed a 1:24 for Riverdance on Serious.
My own first update ;) I've changed some directories and as good as all filenames a little bit for easier structuring. I've also uploaded the Sand Canyon 9 Player Coop run with a time of 3:03. It's still a Work In Progress but at least you can get a taste of it ;)
Just a day off and sarou's Suburbs got beated by TheVoid's 0:57, 1 second faster. He also made Tomb of Ramses in 1:39. Both runs are on Tourist difficulty. As for SS2, Kibumbi has started to work on Serious levels and managed Jungle in 1:33, just a 2 seconds slower than Tourist run.
sarou has made a first FE Tourist record on Suburbs done in 0:58. I previously forgot to update Kingsburg with a new 1:36 record. The previous demo was done without the serious damage that I've overlooked. Saved 2 seconds though.
TheVoid ran Hatshepsut and improved the old stx-Vile's 0:35 record by 1 second ! Get the demo here. He also improved his Hugo run to 2:21, saving fine 5 seconds.
Here we come with 5! new demos and as usually they are DONE.

2) Unreal Wasteland: 4:12 - 29 seconds improvement by Ewil
3) Kingsburg: 1:38 - 17 seconds improvement by Ewil
4) Royal Sewers: 5:34 - 29 seconds improvement by Ewil
5) Be Quick or Be Dead: 1:29 - 3 seconds improvement by TheVoid
I've improved Kukulele Prison by 51 seconds to final 5:47 even though there's a 1 second mistake at the bomb detonator, but this attempt was my best whatsoever and you would need a GREAT luck to beat it.
As you have probably noticed we have a new site design, but most importantly we moved this site to a better host (huge thanks to TheVoid) and turned it into a Serious Sam Done Quick. Notice there isn't "2" anymore. From now on you can find all SS records and demos that are related to speedrunning starting with a several record changes done by Ewil, who improved these levels: 05-Ursul Suburbs to 4:51 with a DONE status, 31-Area 5100 in 4:03, 32-Command Center in 5:50 and 34-Frostpost in 2:29.
Ewil has improved Doomed Canyon to a great 2:08, improving the former time by 4 seconds and turning it to DONE status. TheVoid did the same in Deadwood with a perfect 0:54, 3 seconds faster.
It's time for the first news !!! TheVoid has managed to improve Level 26 - Kingsburg to 1:55 shaving off 24 seconds. We can only hope he will improve that time even more, because the demo doesn't look so nice as it should :).
